Our Mission
The Santa Barbara Track Club (SBTC) hosted at Westmont College aims to provide a pathway to the podium for athletes of all ages and abilities.
The SBTC is comprised of Olympic and aspiring Olympic Track & Field athletes, a Youth Track Club as well as members of the general public all seeking to reach their highest potential.
A Brief History
Summer 2012: Foundation
SBTC founded with Olympic Hopefuls, including NCAA Div. I Heptathlon runner-up, Barbara Nwaba
2013-2015: Growth
Creation and expansion of Youth Track Club
Elite training camps and international events welcome Olympic medalists, record holders and visiting National Governing Bodies elevating exposure of SBTC
Barbara Nwaba wins SBTC’s first U.S title in the Heptathlon
2016: Road to Rio
Barbara Nwaba wins Bronze medal at World Indoor Championships in the Pentathlon
Barbara Nwaba wins U.S. Olympic Trials, qualifying for the Rio Olympics in the Heptathlon
Expanded media partnerships with nationally recognized PR, photography and videography specialists
