SBTC Elite women place three in the top-10 to kick-off weekend; Men will start three in the two-day heptathlon competition. BOSTON, Mass – Today Barbara Nwaba, Lindsay Lettow and Lindsay Schwartz competed against four-time Pentathlon champion and American indoor record holder Sharon Day-Monroe. Nwaba finished the competition with a total of 4,389 points for the Silver medal behind Day-Monroe. SBTC newcomer Lettow, finished 4th with a total of 4,218 points. In her second year competing with the SBTC, Schwartz finished 7th with 4,071 points.
For the men, Thomas FitzSimons, Jr., Thomas Hopkins and Ted Glasnow are competing against a young field in the indoor heptathlon. Hopkins is making a name for himself with SBTC as he leads the team into Day 2 of competition with a 3rd place standing. FitzSimons, Jr. is coming off of a breakthrough season with the SBTC after a 3rd place podium finish at last year's USATF Outdoor Championships. He is currently in 6th place followed by Glasnow in 7th. Day 2 of the Heptathlon will begin at 10am EST on Saturday, February 28.
