Hopkins joined the SBTC after graduating from Princeton University in 2014. New to the combined events after graduating as an Ivy League record-holding and All-American 400m sprinter, Hopkins qualified for the 2015 USATF Indoor Championships where he would finish 3rd in the Men's Heptathlon. Hopkins has since qualified for two additional USATF Indoor Championships, and in 2017, competed at his first USATF Outdoor Championships in the Decathlon. In 2018, Hopkins will shift his focus the 400 Meter Hurdles. Off the track, Hopkins works at a fitness and physical therapy product startup called Brazyn Life, and plays in an Americana band he founded called the Left Hand Lions.
